Anyone else have a problem with the buckles on your weight loosening during diving? It isn't just the fabric stretching but the buckles are moving on the belt. I was thinking about a rivet to hold in place?
It is a seasoft soft weight belt.

Mine loosens up, but it's due to my suit compressing at depth. And probably my far belly compressing too!

its either like mahi says or you dont have the belt properly threaded onto the buckle.

Try a rubber belt with different type buckle. Trident makes a wire type most dive shops carry it, or better yet a marseillese type such as the one made by Rob Allen (florida freedivers is the US distributor https://www.flfreedivers.com).

Check the belt to make sure its threaded into the buckle the right way.If its just a bad design pinning it with a small stainless bolt w/washers should do it.
I switched to rubber belts. Both the cam and buckle styles work well , they self adjust when diving because of the stretch.

The belt is nylon with plastic buckles. I will lock them in with a small rivet and give it a try.

My web belts have a separate keeper with two slots that lock the belt in place. Does your belt have one?

I replace the plastic buckles with metal ones.

At the suggestion of bigeye davae I switched to a rubber belt with a stainless cam buckle.  Adjust it once and your done forever.  Super comfy, never comes loose on a dive and super cheap.  Not sure why I waited so long but these things are the way to go.

Well I'm not Sean, but I couldn't resist as I got my new 770sw yesterday   :smt001 and it looks like it'll be a week or so before I can get it wet, unless I want to take a bath with it  :smt008,  but anyway, here's a pic of my rubber belt and the wire over center locking buckle.

Looks like I bought the wrong type.  I guess I'll keep an eye out for one like that.
