I'm thinking about building a little pram drift boat. I found THIS site and now I have the itch. I'm thinking of having a building contest at my office. I think it would be fun! I think I'll build THIs ONE.

CHEERS!

Looks like fun I've been tempted to do the same. Wanna sell your mini-x ?
Don't forget that the bow needs to be squared off for your anchor set-up.
I have an 8' ALMARCO that is just perfect size, just fits in the bed of a pick-up, if you want to check it out let me know.

I thought Tatman offered plans, but it looks like he's just doing kits:

Rivers Touch drift boats:
http://www.riverstouch.com/

Both of the above have boats in the smaller drift boat range, but nowhere near as small as the typical cartopper pram.

There is also the duckworks magazine pages that refer to many different kit and plan sources:

Regards,
Scott

The mini-x is definitely NOT for sale, but good try! This just looks like a fun winter project.

I was kind of thinking about that too. If the rivers are in good shape this winter, my winter project may just be steelhead.

Hey Mahi2 there's a guy up here @ NWKA who builds his own boats (Pisco Sicko). Sure he could help you out w/ advice/help if you need any.

Here is a little more progress. Next step is the tracing and cutting the bottom floor.

It was a bit tricky bowing the sides back and connecting them to the back (stern).

Yep. It's about 1 1/2. They say to go ahead and get 3 sheets and build 2 at once, but that was a bit much for me.
