Salmon Support line... How may I help you?

uggggg..... I fished from about 8:30 through and past the rising tide to  1:30 for 0 salmon. trolled apexes/rsk's in close, out far, toward the pier, and back to the souther point. other boats got spankage too. bait was very sparce.  i chased after a mad frezy of a few hundred diving birds about a mile off of rockaway. got there quickly but found only tiny spots of bait. the happy hooker backed into the surf and scratched out a handful of stripers after about couple hours. two other party boats were on the far southern outer point pounding the rockfish.  two dores and another kayker were out and said they had not hooked up when i spoke with them . the dores gave up on salmon and came in to the surf to troll for striper. i ended the day releasing several smaller rockfish. andrew and his buddy were heading out as I left so maybe they will post some good news.  im thinking fort ross tomorrow but tempted to go to muir.

Jeff, have you found the number for the Salmon Support Line yet?   I need help too.   Hearing about others catching salmon in a WFO bite is making me ill.

I know what you mean, bro.  Salmon fishing is so hit and miss.  It's like pulling the handle on a slot machine.

no i haven't found the number. but if linda mar maintains like this were going to have to start a salmon support group! im on the board with 8 shakers and one skunk over 3 trips so its been more a quality than quantity thing...  this season will probably be good but honestly, i don't think we can expect it to be as banner as last year which was phenomenal. a repeat of last year could knock the universe out of equilibrium!

If you guys bail on linda mar salmon, you can fall back to pescadero rockfish.  Think I'll divert to moss myself.
