Just after christmas I stocked up on tinsel 1/2 off to make jigs.  Last year when I had the idea it was fall and I couldn't find much but basic chrome tinsel, which worked fine and looked like this:

But the x-mas stuff is far better, just like the holo-tape you'd get on a spoon.

And my macho tying jig:

Rootbeer tinsel?  Who'da thought!   Saint nick must have read my list and checked it twice.   :smt003

Nice.  I stocked up on tinsel too during Walmart's after-Xmas sale.

I only got one card of it, probably enough to make 6 or 8 jigs.  Should have gotten more I guess.  Anyway you can always bum a jig off of me sometime to give it a try.

groovey! Let me know when you plan to fish Bean Hollow or Pescadero - I'm eager to try those areas - especially "The Hollow" (named by Stu and Fred)

How heavy are the jig heads?
