Ft. Ross tax collector

Saw this posted on a spearfishing page:

Great white attack on spear fisherman occurred at fort ross Sunday 7/12 around 10am.
diver is ok, minor cuts to head/ ear, lost 1 JBL fin during attack. If found, please contact, friend would be interested to see it (Likely has bite marks).
Might be good idea to proceed with caution if planning dive in said vicinity soon.

I'm always sketched about sharks, but I tell myself, it won't happen to me, it won't happen here, etc. etc.
But I like going to Fort Ross. And it will be harder to tell myself that.
But I'm great at self-delusion, so I'll definitely be telling myself it didn't happen to a kayaker, so I'll be fine...

I dove, spearfished and abalone hunted for over 40 years always thinking "that won't happen to me"....until that did happen to me!  Its all about statistics,  if you spend a lot of time in the water your odds go WAY up.
