Humminbird Helix 7

Looking for any advice.  Have a Humminbird Helix 7, started having issues with the sonar displaying incorrectly, regular downscan has frozen a bunch at times and the sidescan resolution is garbage at this point.  Anyone have their transducer fail on one of these units? Do transducers experience failure?  Sending it back to Johnson Outdoors cost $289 the last time, so I'm wondering if there's any other paths I can explore to troubleshoot/repair.  Thanks Yall!

I have a Helix 5 that started acting up, but before sending it in I set it to original factory default and it started working fine. I hope I said that right. Good luck.

I have a Helix 7. For more than 5 years now. Love it. The only issue I had with it was it didn’t turn on once because the battery connector was dirty. On my last trip the unit turned off suddenly while I was using it, and it happened a few times. But every time I would turn it on, it would work. I’m thinking battery related again.
