..he (it) could have at least learned to use a spell checker...
maybe its legit though, 'cause back when I was in the oil exporting business I used 12' boats for all my crude oil shipments! :smt044

Bro....I say no nagontiation, dude owns an oil business and can afford to pay the asking price on any 12' cargo export ships he finds.  Damn Oil Tycoons, they just can't stop sticking it to us.  :smt009

Dateline did an awesome special where they scammed the scammers and set up meetings with the alleged "agents/bankers" in london and led these dudes on for a couple days before revealing they were doing a tv special. I thought it was pretty funny.  I can't believe people fall for lame scams like this.

Mike, just send him your social security number and your banking information. I'm sure that's really what he's after.

Yeah,   You can spot those pesky scamers a mile away, but unfortunately people fall for it a lot.   There is actually a sport called "scam-baiting" and forums dedicated to it.   I've read through a few scam-baiting threads and they can be very funny and entertaining.

I am surprised he didn't offer to pay you more than you are asking, send you a Postal Money Order ( fake of course )for a few hundred over that amount and ask you to send him the remaining cash ( less $100 for your efforts). That is a constant scam and people fall for it left and right.
