HMB report 4/8

Met Troy and launched at 7. Picked up an underling and possible halibite on the 2nd rod at the jaws. No halibites while bouncing out to the cans. Slowly picked up lings (18”-28”) and Browns and Coppers. Kept a few.
Caught a 37” hog of a salmon while bringing up my bait to check it on 80’ of water.
I picked up a 32” halibut and Troy had a solid halibite on the way back in. Long day on the water but we both got ling limits and more.

That's a pretty awesome variety of quality fish Joe....those accidental salmon catches.....

Just a couple limits of Lings for Mark and I at the Fort yesterday would have liked a bit more variety.

I gotta say Troy has got stamina. Over 8 hours on the water wore Mabel and me out.

Yes the salmon was a beast..... big and fat..... I can hardly wait for the season to open.  I had a dream of catching that snag halibut bite on the way in..... really thought it was snagged good but then not so much.... probably horsed it a little to hard.....oh well next time.
