Hey Joe,
Id might be interested in meeting up if HMB or Pacifica if you and Mable dont mind some company.  Assumming you are going for butts.

Troy
Hi Troy,

Would you be interested in TC - sand dabs and lings/RF? or are you jonesing for halibut? If I go to TC, I would spend the first hour or two going for dabs and sole, then switch to lings/RF.
TC is more dog friendly and has better bathrooms and I think easier launch than FR.

If I go HMB, I think I would drop a crab hoop and then try for halibut/lings. There are 3 specific spots I would like to target for halibut.

Hi Joe,
Yep I was but moved to San Leandro to our new family compound..... sounds luxurious huh!   No just two homes on one property with about a half acre.... all really run down and beat up..... Our house right now is down to studs in half of it about half done and then after that the rest of the house gets redone..... 850 square feet three bedrooms.   Really small bedrooms and only one bath..... the remodel will make it a 2 bed 2 bath.... then when done(with lot of money into it) I will be free and clear of house payment and will definatley fish more and sorta retire....sort of.

Let me know what you decide but not to sway you  I probably will skip the long drive and fuel bill to TC eventhough I would love to get some ling and rockies.

Let's give HMB a try then. Chance for halibut is always there. I have 3 areas I would like to target, unless you know some spots.
What time ?

Hi Joe,
Good anytime and really pretty new to half moon bay for anything other than salmon..... How many crab pots you bringing?  I will have to dig in my bait freezer but sure I can find enough bait for a ring or two.
and are you targeting just hali and crab or rockfish too?

I am game for all of it but will follow your lead if that is OK.

How about meet at 6:30, launch at 7:00.
I'm second guessing the crab thing. It can be a pain to have to go check a hoop if it's not near where we are fishing, and HMB might be picked over anyway.
So maybe just go all in on halibut, lings, RF. I like to use 2 rods for halibut, but can pull one out when getting near reef.
The halibut bounce ball setup seems to work for all the species, but some backup jigs make sense, especially if we run out of bait.

Hi Joe,
See you around 6:30 and yes going for crab makes it much more difficult and much more to get ready.

We launching at Half moon Kayak?

Yes HMB kayaks. Park at lower lot across the street if there is space.
