If anyone is looking for a fish finder battery I’d recommend Noqua batteries. I emailed them after my battery changer and battery melted due to leaving it on the charger over night and they replaced the battery 6 months out of warranty for me and the COO emailed me immediately after it happened. They have a really good product and stand behind their units with excellent customer service.

The owners behind Nocqua are amazing! Billy and Heidi are great people and truly care about their products and customers. They supported me thru the YakOff competition and I too highly recommend the Nocqua lineup!

I cooked a couple of batteries before I got s smart charger.   Easy cure was a plug in timer, and removed the on tab and just set it so the off tab turned it off after some hours.

That’s great that they replaced the battery and charger for you, but it’s frankly terrifying that their product melted. I don’t think I’d want Noqua products anywhere near my home if just leaving the battery on the charger is all it takes.

What battery do you use? I kinda assumed all fish finder batteries were like this because I had similar issues with my last battery brand.

I have two noqua myself and I never leave the house anytime I'm charging any batteries. I leave it in an area where I walk by frequently to keep an eye on it until it charges.
