I can make a 1-piece fish and chips. haha.

or a couple of fish tacos.  one small fish chunk in the deep freeze.

last night wife and enjoyed some baked ling and Cabazon.  (crazy the texture difference).  we ate slowly, since we know the end is near.

I love my wife.  she asked me,  "when does rockfish season open again?"

at this point, I'm not sure I could buy fish.  it is crazy expensive at my local monger.

It is the lean season. I am hoping to take my son poke polling tomorrow, so maybe we will have fresh fish again.

There might be a small window on Saturday for Monterey. That’s what I’m hoping for. Otherwise you could try for stripers if the rivers don’t get too muddy. New Hogan stripers can also be a thing if the delta is blown. Also apparently the Port of Sac and channel can have some clarity if the rivers muddy up, but I haven’t been.

If the weather holds, I’ll be in Monterey Saturday too

Now Sunday looks like a bigger window, wind-wise, with no big wind forecast all day.  Saturday AM before noon still looks good, but if the window shortens it shows it getting pretty windy pretty quickly.

Thanks for the heads up, I got some plans Sunday so I’ll have to make the most of what I got, time wise. If I don’t see ya there, good luck!
