Kitchen Sink lau lau

A Hawaiian friend from church gave me a lau lau that her husband made.  Being older now I enjoyed the taro leaf pork fish ingredients he used.  I’ve had it with tea leaf before and did not enjoy the tea leaf “hay” flavor but taro leaf is better for my tastes.

Kitchen sink includes taro leaf, chard, Chuck roast, bacon, pork belly, pork loin, ling cod , salt, and crab leg pre steamed.  Hope it works out.  Stay tuned…

Cooking now...my bride might turn up her nose at the home aroma when she gets home...she's occasionally "sensitive" to unique cooking smells...

I am pleased but my wife ate it with earthy taro leaf unfamiliarity.  She was stoked I made a backup beef pork belly adobo with potato and mushroom.  Crab legs were novel but messy to extract the meat.  Pressure cooking fully steamed crab legs for an hour did not enhance to crab meat flavor.
