I think I need to try and get some crab Sunday. Conditions look decent. Thoughts HMB or Pacifica?

I've been to HMB a couple of times, but never tried Pacifica. Looks like it's a beach launch near Linda Mar? Doesn't look like it's too difficult with the forecast conditions.

I'll be in an Outback. Any recent reports?

It's been about a month for me, but Pacifica always produces crab for me.

Launch is pretty easy at Rockaway Beach, just north of Linda Mar. South end of the beach is protected and usually the swells don't break there.

Good luck out there!

Sounds good, simple. I suppose park in the lot right there? Crabbing grounds right out from there (depth dependent)?

Does anyone happen to know if it's likely to get any snaring off the beach? Wife might want to go check it out.

Rockaway can be decent from shore and Montara on the South end is also worth a try.

I was at Rockaway on Saturday, attempting to catch perch with a heavy boat rod. Seemed like a pretty slow day overall but I did see a few crabs being pulled in from shore.

Yes, you basically go through the hotel parking lot to get to the parking for the beach.

I've had best luck going straight out.  It is a very gradual slope with sandy bottom for a long ways. I like to bring 4 hoops and put them in 5ft intervals until I find the right spot.

I was snaring Rockaway Saturday AM. 4 keepers in 3 hours, left early. Looked like all my neighbors had no problem pulling in keepers too. Definitely isn't like this all season. Fish and Game even came by to pay everyone a visit :)

Sounds good. Always good to have someone else on the water. Conditions continue to look decent.

I did the thing. I worked pretty hard but came away with limit (and even had to discard a couple)

Conditions were a little breezy further out but otherwise great. I got into a spot over in Linda Mar where every pull was more than 10 females. Nice size too, but back they went. A fellow experienced kayak fisherman helped me a little with figuring that out and did well after that.

Thanks for the help!

Nice!  It's pretty hard work, but tasty reward for the effort!
