RPT - Sanddab Fishing 2026-01-17 RG

Launched with James to try catch some sanddabs and soles.  We didn't catch any soles but got enough sanddabs.
A CDFW game warden informed us that we might have a salmon season this year.

Nice report! I've never gone dabbing from my kayak - might check it out this year if I get too stir crazy before Apr 1.
What's the green leader above the sand dab rig? I see you have a weight on there to keep the rig on the bottom but I would just clip off a lighter weight to the snap swivel on my main line.

It is a spreader-bar used to minimize tangling, which is popular in Korea.

Mild irratant if scratched by horns. They are used often for stripe bass bait. More of a nuisance than anything else
