My favorite ultralight spinning rod has gone missing and I want to replace it. It was a Loomis GL2, which I don't think is made anymore. The newer Loomis models haven't convinced me that they are worth the $280 price tag. Any suggestions? I think my old rod was 6'6".
I loved that rod, it always caught fish.

If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Mine is missing too.

I’ll probably get a Phenix Elixer.

I was just gifted a Daiwa Presso PRAIR761ULFS and I am impresseod. They make a Kage UL they are pretty nice but hard to find. I bought a Okuma GSP-S-761UL Trout Pro and it was very nice until it blew up on the first fish. Might have been defective, I have been tempted to try again. What length are you looking for? I have a Fenwick Eagle that I don't use I think it's 5'.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Hey Mike, I'm looking for a 6 foot 6 inch. The Elixir looks like what I'm looking for. The Fenwick HMG looks good too.
Sure as shit, I'll find my lost rod as soon as I buy a new one.

I looked at the Alixer's and they are pretty soft, great for bait. I like a faster action as I throw a lotta spoons and small jigs. They are pretty. :smt061
