Thanks for again taking on the monumental task of organizing and running your Gimme Shelter tournament. Your shirt designs look great and whatever scoring changes you might come up with are fine. People come to your tournament not only for the fishing but for the camaraderie and your emphasis on having a fun family friendly experience. I've enjoyed the different format changes you have made over the years and look forward to another great event.

Just spoke to Kayak Jack, and it sounds like we are a go for his Taco Shack again this year!

When Jack couldn't make it last year due to his daughter's graduation, Ricci and his dad stepped up and did an awesome job with a taco shack, and I'm hoping they come again and will collaborate with Kayak Jack.

I've also met with Brandi, and the Gyotaku is a go again too.  Last year was outstanding, with dozens of participants and community members doing art in the campground pavilion prior to the potluck and awards.  This year will be just as good - don't miss it!

I have the registration materials ready and will put them up shortly.

Let's go!   :smt001

I start a new job next week working Tuesday through Saturday so I won’t be able to make the tournament this year  :smt01 I was really hoping to have the kids come up for this one, but that’s just gonna have to be in 27.
Can’t wait to hear about it!
Aloha,
Isao

The campground pavilion is rented for the Gyotaku and Potluck Awards ceremony.  Brandi is on board for the Gyotaku Extravaganza.  Captain Jake Mitchell is in for running the raffle and stepping up with a couple of seats on his charter.  Kayak Jack is planning his triumphant Taco Shack return!

There are more plans to be made and much more hype to flow here - all good stuff!

Let's hear some Gimme Shelter memories on here!

Remember the Hike and Dive's?  The first year I did that, the day after the event, more than 20 of us hiked up to Gitchell Creek to look for trophy abalone.  Domenic ended up scoring a nice 10 incher, and the group had a blast.  I'll have to dig up some photos and the original report.

We're set to make more lifetime memories and further strengthen our community and the relationships that make it what it is.

Let's Go!   :smt007
