Gimme Shelter 4 - Epic as Predicted - 5/14/2010-5/16/2010

I will start the thread but all the cudos to Eric for pulling off the greatest hookup in NCKA history.   It was EPIC although some slow fishing and super slow crabbing. Abing seemed good although I can't speak to that first hand. This is just a teaser and I will file a full report in a day or 2 when I fully recover.   Here are some of my favorite memories...

Looks like I missed out again. I was wondering if anybody was going to share the event. I know its still early and yakers are probably just trying to get home,clean up and get some rest. Can't wait for the rest of the fellas to share their pics

I really wanted to make this event but just couldnt make it with work and all. Hoping I can make it next year.

Sledge and I formed the "Real" Dawn Patrol and went straight to the whistle buoy.  I started to experienced Deja Vu when I was following GB2 around the whistle buoy pulling in some big lings.  Thank Scott!

Pot luck was phenomenal, Jedmo's ceviche was excellent with some of the guacamole and chips.

The generosity and camaraderie among NCKAers is unparalleled! 

Closed out the trip with a fun Sunday morning Ab dive with the 4 Js.  Joe, Jack, Jim and James.  Joe may post up some video...

Just finished vacuum sealing this string, no release points for me. 

30" on the trough, I love the cleaning station at Shelter Cove.

James is my brother's long lost twin.

I didn't catch much from the yak but I dove Friday and Sat. The water was rough, dirty and cold. I got about 5 hours of diving in and it was a workout. We got our abs and had a good time seeing old faces. Thanks to everyone for a good time.
