We had a great time at Fort Ross. We were on 3 paddle kayaks and 2 pedal kayaks. Nice to see more paddle than pedal  :smt044
Lingcod and rockfish came out to play and the bite was steady all day. However, the species I was looking for was elusive.

Yes Scotty, there is much life after halibut!  I had a blast practicing not getting sea sick and using a noodle of a slow pitch rod to bendo things up.  I found a short bendo noodle of a rod can tire more quickly because of the action.  Especially with all the hits and snags.  Glad she didn't snap on some of my snag practice.

Thanks for the vid Moo and the wattah' time...

Paul the Haul!  We missed ya' out there... :smt006

Thanks Scotty! I swore by swim baits and diamond jigs before but it seems like a very slow herring troll are a quick ticket to big lings. I caught about 7 lings out there most in the 22-27 in range. Super fun calm day out there, plenty of fish for the freezer.
