Ha! Thanks, Brian. Unfortunately, both were fairly small. I believe i was the first kayaker to launch about 30 min before nautical twilight last Thursday. The first fish hit my KA within 30 seconds of dropping down. I had the second fish 30 minutes later. I was actually back on the beach by 7:30 am with a limit. Had I known how fast it was going to be that day, I would have held out for larger fish. But very happy with a limit, none-the-less.

Here's hoping we get another crack at 'em this fall!

Congrats on the quick limits Corey! Enjoy the fish and the memory of the catch - it'll hold you over til next year when we hopefully have a full or at least fuller season. I don't think there is any chance that they didn't meet the quota.

Cheers,
Brad

Corey is the salmon slayer. Didn't he get like 40 during the last full season?

Hi all,
Yep Corey is a salmon beast..... I got my first ocean Kayak salmon this year but puny compared to Corey's.   Only 26 inches but had a good time..... Rockaway.  Hooked something with enough power to pull me around but got tangled in my downrigger early in the fight and I never got him untangled while trying to keep the line tight.... saw it break water a couple of time but never really saw it and then line got slack .... gone.

Hoping for a season next year

Troy
