Short report. Line in water at 7 south of Hog but on west shore. Outgoing tide so drifted clear to Tom's Point. Snagged a little shiner perch and left it on the jig and got a hit. Halibut got the perch. Keep drifting and get a good bite. Really hooked well which was good because my first shot with the gaff was subpar and halibut went full throttle to the bottom but I got it up and gaffed and put on stringer and went to beach nearby to bag and stow in front hatch. Thought another would come but not so. Landed across from Hog to stretch and let dog out then drifted to yellow can and around noon called it a day. Nice weather for once.

Looks like a good fish. I've let Mabel take shore breaks occasionally, usually only at lakes.

If a seagull poops on you, statistically it was no accident.
