I am the Angel of Death to Sunglasses.

just this Saturday, I rushed into the surf to help a guy that flipped.   I was on gathering duty.  find his rod, find his net.  success.

I was just about to leave, when I reached up to pull my sunglasses down.  what?  where did I leave them?  I search my truck.  nope.  I jog down the hill back to the cove..and look around.  fish cleaning station, where I parked..nope.  I walk to the water.  I see them!!  just the ear piece sticking out of the sand. the surf had been pounding them.  HAHA.  both left/right lens look like I used them to pan for gold.

well, I have a solution.  REVANT.   they make replacement lenses for lots of them.  I was Leary my Electric sunglasses would be on their list.  they were!!  ordered.  Electric doesnt sell replacement lenses.  I asked.

oh well.  this is my third REVANT purchase.  they make a good product.  clear...I dont expect them to best the OEM Electric lens..but better than buying all new over again.

just a thought for those of you peeking around a big scratch on that lens of yours.  there are options.

Lost a pair of sunglasses in the harbor a few weeks ago. Had them on top of my head with a hat on. Went to adjust my hat and heard the sunglasses hit the side of the boat on their way into the water.

I have prescription glasses, and without them I'm about 20/600, so I used my old windsurfing system(and now use the same system when SUPing): glasses holder  with end loops that tighten over the earpieces, then a shoestring or cord tied to the holder, then a loop in the shoestring just big enough to slip over my head. Never lost glasses even if they washed off my nose a few times. Spare clear glasses carried in a "case" closed with a serious clip and tied to my PFD. And both sets of glasses were the previous year's Rx, and new Rx glasses kept in car for the drive home.  I was never able to wear contacts or I would have saved a lot of time messing with specs.

Haha, same. I've got at least three pairs of Oakleys, and a nice watch waiting for me at the bottom of Lake Shasta...

This is awesome! Just bought regular polarized lenses to replace my prescription lenses (before Lasik). Now I have a nice 2nd set of sunglasses! Thanks! This forum is great!
