5 Days of Fishing This Week

Today was my second day of the week.  The bite was not hot.  Got 27" & 28" lings, 19" vermilion, 1 copper, and 5 blacks.  Plan to fish for the next three days.  Going fishing with my wife tomorrow.  I know she will outfish me.

Why do you think the bite was slower today? Too windy, too much swell, etc.? Or just one of those days?

Hey Paul, I'll be out on Saturday at Van Damme.  Terribly slow tide through most of the morning, but it's the day I can make it this week.  Semi-retirement is not quite the same as your retired status... You going out of RG?

We just got home from a 6 night stay at Albion. Had a great time. The weather was great. Played 3 rounds of golf at Little River too.

I think I will launch from RG this Saturday.  I like it better due to the clean facilities.  Also, I need to check my crab traps.

I have three of them, and they are filling up.  I've been giving fish to neighbors and friends.

Just 5 days? 

After five days of fishing, I am tired, and my drysuit has started to smell.  I got two lings, two vermilions, 7 blacks, and two crabs.  Over the  5 days, I only got 3 crabs, and it was too much work.  Except for two blacks, all 9 fish went to the group campers at Russian Gulch.  I will be returning next Monday with my fishing buddy to chase some more fish.

Crabbing is work.
