Fished 4 days for kings (1 per season), coho, halibut, yellow eye (1 per season), black cod, and lings.

The lings were huge up there. They ranged between 42-45”.  We released several of these, but got to keep them when we crossed the Yakutat line, about a 25 mile run.

My daughter got lucky with a rare Ivory King and a 63.5” 114lb butt.

The fishing was great, but the quaint town, amazing scenery, lodge and staff all made it a truly great trip.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I still kayak fish about once a year for rockfish, only because it’s hard to turn down boat invites.

I enjoy reading all the reports and seeing how we still get it done!  Looking forward to the September fall salmon opener.
