MooMoo, this one is for you. I could not find the thread where I posted these images before. But here is how I set up my FF.  I drilled  a wine cork , then cut a slice out of it so I could slip the wire in it.  I gooped it with some marine sealer and it hasn't given me any issues.  Where the hatch and the hull meet, I ground a small indent large enough for the FF cable to pass through.  I do keep an eye on it, but after 5 years no issue.

You can also use the through hull wire seals similarly to the cork Squidder K posted.  You place it in a vice and use a hacksaw to saw a slit top to bottom on one side of it and use a screwdriver to split it a bit to slide your wire inside it.  This way you dont have to have a huge hole cut in your hull to pass a big connector for the FF, just the wire diameter. https://www.amazon.com/Ancor-765000-Electrical-2-Gauge-24-47/dp/B000NI5EXW/ref=asc_df_B000NI5EXW?mcid=f37d2b99726130fb820a43cb696d8e34&hvocijid=4622282939338253624-B000NI5EXW-&hvexpln=73&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=721245378154&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=4622282939338253624&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9032129&hvtargid=pla-2281435177098&psc=1
