I’m dipping my toe into the salt.  Not sure if it will stick, so a used unit would be wise.

Anyone have an extra?  Find one floating in the surf? :)

If you plan to launch from beaches, Wheeleez is likely to save a lot of swearing.

Also, personally, I'd avoid scupper carts, as they can put a lot of pressure on the scuppers, and a crack there is likely to be unrepairable.

The problem with Wheeleez carts is that their aluminum frame design does not fit the newer kayak hulls.

Many of the newer kayaks do not sit well on top of them. Fortunately, my Revo 11 and 13 work well with my Wheeleez and is what I use for surf launches.

I've been using the Hobie plugin heavy-duty cart for over 12 years with no issues, mainly on boat ramps.
Its seen so much use that a couple of the welds came undone.  I was lucky that a good buddy and ncka member welded them together again.

From a boat ramp, I agree that it's not going to be a problem. In any case, I can't imagine pulling a heavy Hobie kayak across the sand with a cart that does not have balloon tires...

me neither.  it sounds awful.  I have a dirt launch at Berry and my regular wheels add a level of grunt.  on a beach, I would sit down and pout.

I know me.  I could get floating in the ocean, look around and go, "NOPE!"  I am a bass fisherman first now...so I want to enter the salt arena with care.  hahah..  normally, I am all in financially.
