Hmmm, DeHaven is an interesting one, what’s drawing you there, Paul?

Only thing on my list is to find out Nowhereman’s secret west-side hali spot.

I once went to DeHaven to launch but erred on the side of caution and aborted because it wasn't calm enough for me.
I think you could drive through the campground, with permission or a pass, onto the beach and launch near some rocks that break the surf down to nothing...on a calm day. There's some other spots to launch but getting onto the beach, much less getting back up to the road, would be tough.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

I’ve scouted a couple areas in that zone in the past and opted out due to prevailing conditions. I was wondering if a specific spot or strategy had been identified to make it more possible

We have to wait for very calm days.  When I scouted areas before, I noticed two options.
