Yeah sucks big time. I noticed a year ago they downsized a lot of inventory. We do have bodega tackle now in Petaluma and also a new bait and tackle shop in Novato called fish story. I wish there was a gas station round here that sold bait 24/7

Oh No! Man, I loved that place!

found out about it my first year at GS.

Made it a point to always stop there on my trips to Humboldt. The staff were always so stoked when we would bring the dog in to shop with us.

I was there in December and they were looking pretty empty. Such a bummer.
The missing salmon season really hurt them.

Yeah this a bummer. Loved the staff there. Amos is the man and Tristan used to spend so much time giving me advice. I really worry about places like Bodega Tackle. They are easily my favorite shop and imagine are struggling right now. Bodega Tackle might be small but it's well stocked. Ive always found that if there was a rod, reel or gear that wasn't in stock, Ken would order for me. Send your business their way. I also saw that they posted that they have a bunch of Bait Sharks in stock

The online shop is not owned and operated by the retail shop so I believe it’s still going

Call before you and waste a lot of gas. I went looking for Makita service in Fremont and drove in circles around where they were supposedly located on the online map but not seeing physical signage. Knocked on the door where they were supposed to be and was told they closed shop months ago and and any service required shipping to Reno.

It’s still open for business. I ordered some stuff from them last week and got it today.

One of the guys from OPS opened his own store in Rohnert Park called North Bay Fishing and Tackle. He is stocking it with some quality stuff, especially around bass fishing and fresh water oriented tackle. Definitely check them out. Super nice guy https://share.google/OXywucnf18WviPXh9

Fish story in Novato is also a great little store. Tons of quality stuff tucked away and I feel they have a bit more of a salt water vibe. Everybody there super nice as well.

Shop local! We need these stores to thrive.

Hear that outdoor pro is still doing phone orders and will call but from what I've heard about the owner and how he treated his employees, I'm making sure to spend my money elsewhere. Mike, past OutDoor Pro employee opened up Northbay Tackle on the others idea of the free way from Sportsmans warehouse in RohnertPark. Gtrat shop and Northbay has been adding alot of gear the last week.

Also if you in the Larkfield are Ace Hardware is a sleeper store! You would never know it but they have a huge fishing section. Bait, rods reels you name it. Grrat prices too!

The True Value off Airport is stepping up their game. They have had a small fishing section, but now they are redoing the store and will have a lot of gear. I went the other day and it was still a work in progress, but they now have everything a small shop would have. Looks like they will have line spooling also along with waders, raingear, and tackle storage. They should be all set up soon.
