Moving and I am having to say good bye to my "Almanor Express" that served me well on the ocean and on Lake Almanor. Stored inside for years after injuries made me a boater.

I realize this is "Old School" now with everything shifted to peddling but for someone with more unique needs or interests, this might find a home.  It reflects many hours of customization.

Offered for $300.  Kayak features carbon fiber dash that mounts rod/ff mounts and slides forward/back/rotated. Heavy duty aluminum outrigger/outboard mount that quickly removes with three nobs. Deck hatch holds drybag that can hold live well for small bait. Front hatch holds small water container for through-hull transducer mounting. Top speed was about 7 mph with the Nissan.

Extras include Hullavator, Wheeleeze cart, 3.5 Nissan Outboard (currently partly disassembled with parts for cleaning), with carbon fiber trolling plate, graphite paddle, navigation lights. Can provide RAM rod holders (up at the lake).

I tried to add pictures but won't attach even though small file size--any suggestions?

Hi!  Hope you are doing well.  That's a helluva deal just in time for summer.  You're about to make someone very very happy.

that aside, if someone is right there and hands you cash... Take it. I've already got 10 kayaks. love those old OC boats though

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

A little history:

Many happy days made on this Kayak!
I paddled on the ocean for about 4 years but later transitioned to Lake Almanor. But this is a big lake and after several years of fishing Lake Almanor I got tired of paddling home after fishing the hatch till dark from more distant points.  I initially experimented with a lightweight Gamefisher 1.2 HP outboard as it was the only thing light enough to use on a canoe or kayak without tipping it over. I made a carbon fiber base to secure this to the kayak. I got several of these Gamefishers new as they were no longer produced.

But when the RV camp manager gave me a much heavier 3.5 HP outboard, I needed something beefier to hold this engine (it cracked my wooden one) and a reliable mount that wouldn't let the outrigger break off and send the kayak spiraling down.  That's when I fabricated this heavier mount.

That’s a very cool setup and a proven WSB catcher! I wish I had space…
