Hey NCKA fam!

I wanted to share some exciting news on the Team USA front. We are leaving for La Paz, B.C.S. next week to fish against Team Mexico, Costa Rica, Guam, and possibly others for the 2nd Pan American Championship. You may see some familiar names on the Team Roster  :smt002:

Robert Field (Team Captain)
Guy Marsh (Team Coach)
Lance Clinton (Team Coach)
Michael Bartgis
Mikey Molnar
Ryan Deitrick
Annie Nagel
Elsa Flores
Allen Sansano
Chris Mautino
Jim Davis
David Elgas
Sean Lawless
Chad Gierlich

It's a huge honor to represent the U.S. of A in the PanAm Games and we will give it our all to keep the gold medal streak alive. Our team is stacked with talented anglers and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.

Learn more about the Pan Am here: https://usangling.org/team-usa-kayak-saltwater-fishing-heads-to-mexico-for-2nd-pan-american-championship/

The athletes fund their own way for these international competitions and donations are the driving force to keep us afloat.  If you'd like to make a general donation to Team USA, click here: https://www.zeffy.com/en-US/donation-form/9c84ded7-f78f-4831-9810-5bda4f2221b2

If you'd like your donation to go towards an individual angler, so they can be reimbursed for their expenses (tournament fees, airfare, lodging, prefishing expenses, food, etc.) use the link above and add the individual's name by checking the "in memory or honor of" box as you complete checkout.

Any amount is greatly appreciated and we hope you follow along by watching our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Wanted to share the good news (copied from FB):

🥇🇺🇸 I got GOLD in the women’s division at the 2nd Pan American Championship of Saltwater Kayak Fishing! 🥹

This one was a grind. I only had one day of pre-fishing instead of three, no scouting in the area I fished for the tournment because the boys talked me out of going where I wanted to go for safety reasons, and no fishfinder because our battery sponsor didn’t come through. On top of that, it was my first time using a Hobie-style fishing kayak, which used a whole different set of muscles than I’m used to lol. With the original tournament dates blown out, we had the option to fish Thursday/Friday or Friday/Monday, but since I was flying out Monday morning, I had to fish option one along with 5 others. Monday was by far the best day out there and only window with a morning bite and I believe I would have put up way more points if I fished that day. I was finally getting dialed. So all things considered, I’m really happy with how I performed!

Proud to be bringing home at least one gold for Team USA… couldn’t let Mexico get the full sweep in their home waters 😏🇲🇽. Team USA took silver, and Lance Clinton, an absolute beast, fought his way to individual silver just a week or two after emergency surgery. 💪

Huge thanks to my brother and Team Captain Robert Field for accepting the award on my behalf. I appreciate everything you do for Team USA! And thank you to those tirelessly working behind the scenes- Robert Allen Sansano and David Elgas- the amount of time and effort you put into all of this and your immense passion for saltwater kayak fishing does not go unnoticed! Enormous thank you to Nick Chatelain who totally went above and beyond to help me and all of Team USA on this trip- you’re my hero!! Big thanks to Lightning Kayaks for providing us with kayaks for the event. Thank you United States Angling Confederation for the opportunity to represent the USA and women in fishing at the international level. To my team members, thank you for all the great memories on and off the water- y’all are the best! Thank you Mexico for the hospitality and congratulations on the win! Thank you to all the brands and people who set me up with gear for the tournament- it means the world! And to my friends, family, and everyone who has supported me along the way… forever grateful. LET’S GO!! 🇺🇸
