I used to fish for kokes there, and caught them, but that was 15+ years ago.
I fished the south end and hated the drive in. Washboard Hell.
I'm interested in going.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Lake Berryessa  :smt007

That’s Ricci’s gig.
I got soo much going on with Santinos Baseball every weekend, and the 29th is my bday weekend but I haven't figured what to do. 3day Holiday weekend too with Caesar Chavez Monday. No hard feelings if you want to make it Berryessa. I can you guarantee you this, the fishing will be phenomenal if there's no big storm before then. The water is all the way up, and tons of fish will be spawning right at that time. Do it, and convince me to squash all other plans and I'll run up after the kids game 💯🤙🏽😎🙏🏽

Too bad about San Luis. I had a truck load of firewood set up again. Oh well. See where it ends up.

Yeah, sucks. I'll know better for next year.

On the other hand, IVR is basically the wild west and we could have a hell of a party there.
This also would be Dope AF! Haven't been there in years

How about Indian Valley Res? Camping, Fishing, Shooting, Off Roading and it's fairly secluded.

I’ve always wanted to check out the Kokanee there. Heard it used to be good. I’d be game for that.
My dad and I were introduced to IVR back around 98 or so. I was young. It was a great fishery at one time. Average Kokanee there would run 17" and no lie would catch them up to 22". It was solid for about 5 years then droughts ruined it. Project Kokanee or Kokanee power don't plant it anymore, but the bass, crappie, and catfish are good there. Lots and lots of trees when water is high. Steep too. Road going in from hwy 20 absolutely sucks and your rig WILL BE DUSTY RED after getting in. Sounds like a wonderful choice😄

Well it looks like there's a bit of interest.

I'll start checking on dates. It will more than likely be the second weekend or last weekend of April.

OK. Where on Lake Berryessa? I want to do it the weekend of April 25th. Putah Creek has a group site but it's first come first serve. Not seeing a group site anywhere else.

Wish I could do that weekend :/
I’ll be in Oregon.

I’ll say that Putah Creek has hella campsites. Even if the group site is taken, there should be plenty of spots, likely next to each other.

Putah canyon is the only group site i know. It seems to be somewhat secluded from the regular sites. If i lived closer i would head up early to try and reserve. It did seem as though all the sites are first come first serve which seems like a good thing

Bummer. It always sucks when the few core members we have left can't make it.
