I am not sure why the thread referenced above is locked but I found the recipe to be excellent even for a Scottish/French American with no Asian blood whatsoever.  I was not able to find the right type of bean sauce so we used Dynasty Blackbean Garlic Sauce instead.  It looks the same and the recipe came out great.  We had it twice in the last week.  Thanks for the lesson Mooch.
