The 63-foot-high Cape Horn Dam at Van Arsdale Reservoir in Mendocino County and the 138-foot Scott Dam at Lake Pillsbury in Lake County will be removed to make the Eel River the longest free flowing river in California. As a result Lake Pillsbury will be drained.

I spoke to the feds in charge of this a few years ago.
His take then was +10 years for them to petition the gvt. For approval.
P.g.e. had not filled as yet back then.....
Any day on the water  beats being in town.

The story was in the Chronicle yesterday but it may not be viewable without a subscription, California Trout should have an update soon. The article stated that all stake holders were in agreement but figuring out how to continue diverting water into the Russian River needed to be figured out, and could be cost prohibitive.

Thanks, I was able to read the story. I'll be interested to see how/if this all moves forward.
