I would prefer not to go solo, if anyone is going anywhere near/similar, let me know and maybe we can meet!

Be careful out there! I'm seeing up to 13 MPH offshore winds predicted by 1PM Saturday on windy.com

I'd like to go if the weather holds up (I'm pretty new to the sport so still on the cautious side)!

Are you familiar with the area? Furthest south I've been is Elkhorn, but I've seen a lot of people launch further south from the city of Monterey

Are you targeting anything in particular? I'm mostly down for anything - dabs, forage fish, or going for something bigger

I usually fish on the other side of the MB (Santa Cruz), but do go to Monterey once in a while. A good place to launch is Del Monte beach, near the wharf. Although it's a beach launch, it's generally the easiest beach launch known to humankind. Offshore winds are about the only potential issue there. Another good place to launch is the boat ramp at the Coast Guard pier. Be sure to avoid the marine protected area(s) nearby...
I don't like stuff that sucks.

I’ll be heading down on whichever day the weather is best (and if the weather holds out). Also, probably head towards the red buoy and try to get some dabs and troll for anything bigger with my fingers crossed.

I am not the best at reading the weather, from my research, weather seems fine and am aiming for that day.

Wind looks good but swell looks iffy right now at 5’-6’ at 8 sec. But I’ve been out this year where they said 4’ and it was flat. So I’m still watching.

I'm on the fence, 6' at 8 seconds may be a bit rough and I'm still a novice.

What are you guys thinking?

Now swell looks worse for Sat. No go for me. Sunday looks possible but I think I have a conflict.

Yea… as much as I want to go. Safety is number 1 so I’ll be pinning this one till the weather gets better.

Sounds good, let me know when you end up rescheduling to, still interested in joining.

For tomorrow I'll plan to head to torpedo wharf and see if I can hit the dabs from a safe location

Next Sunday is looking better, will be aiming for then, unless the weather changes for the worst.
