My Father used to stand on the craggy dangerous rocks next to the crashing ocean on  Monterey Bay holding a string with a fishhook.   I was seven years old but I knew how to drive the '56 Volkswagon  Bug so I was ready.  Suddenly Dad would have an Eel online.   I could never tell if Dad or the Eel were winning.   Fortunately Dad won and the eels were subdued.

Animals were harmed in the making of that picture.   Later Dad would skin and marinade the eels in pure lemon juice for 24 hours.   I vouch that it was very tasty.

Great story.

Are you saying that your favorite marinade is lemon juice?

I'm thinking of making something with Tamarind and honey as the base.

I like Soy-Vey, or just simple lemon juice and a good soy sauce, maybe a little honey.
