Hi ya NCKF, I just bought a 10+ year old Hobie Outback on Craigslist, a car boat rack, a Garmin Echomap, and a new PFD.  I live in the North-East Sacramento region but I am getting ready for retirement.  I am a fly fisher and after trying a few streams and wading a number of times but not catching any fish and renting a guide in a drift boat in Redding on the Sacramento river a couple of times have upped my game to lake nymph trout fishing.  I figured that after going out and mastering this hobbie, I might want to see if I can catch a few more fish.
Cheers,
Pete

Welcome to NCKA, Pete.
I am sure you will catch a lot more fish from your kayak.  Make sure you learn the basic maintenance of your kayak, including the rudder repair.

Greetings fellow newcomer.  Hope you’re enjoying your new-to-you kayak.  Would love to get a hobie someday.
