Kayak rack suggestions for 2022 Honda Ridgeline?

Just got a used Ridgeline with a bed cover and I am looking at what (if anything) anyone out there would suggest for a kayak rack that wouldn't interfere with the bed cover or would not be too much trouble to install and remove when it wasn't in use. I don't want to have it covering the cab like I did on my 2007 Ridgeline. I think a bed rack would make it much easier for me to load and unload my Hobie Revos. I will most likely get a used rack system on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist in the area.

Not sure what kind of cover you got but I would consider a bed extender you plug into your hitch.
I Luv mine , 3-4 ft is all you have to lift it , quick and easy . But as you may know 10 different people have 10 different ideas….

This is my recommendation also - no need to lift it over your head!

Yakima Over Haul HD is compatible with some bed covers.

Totally with Scott and speedy on this. A bed extender makes it so easy to load. Think I paid $125 for mine and they are available for less (or more!). I've used mine on a Honda pilot and a couple of f150's. Great investment!

This is the one I have. Pretty heavy duty, works great for lumber too. Has tie down loops on the ends too. Only complaint is that it makes a perfect L shape and I sometimes scrape the bottom on steep driveways, but it isn't really a problem.

I like the idea of the bed extender, but I have a couple of Hobie Revo's I'd be putting in the 5'4" bed with another 20" of tailgate to cover the 13 foot length of the kayak. I have a Bakflip tonneau cover and am looking into some possible replacement rails with t slots I could use instead of drilling into the Honda factory railing. Thank you for the suggestions.

Finally got around to biting the bullet and had the local truck shop put in slightly modified t-slots to accept the Tonneau cover and the Elevate racks. I am really happy with it. The only thing that I changed was reversing the bolts to let the first section of the Bakflip clear the bar at the lowest (13") setting. I will have to post photos when I get a chance.
