Tides and winds look good for a striper beat down! Company welcome.

If I don't go to the ocean, then Benicia or Napa stripers are on the menu. They seem to be getting bigger fish in the Napa, but Benicia is easier.

I'm on board. I plan to arrive at 6:30 and get on the water at 7am. Troll 2 rods down towards Glen Cove with the tide and then back after the 9:30 tide change. Unless someone has a more proven strategy.

Well it was a beat down alright. My 2nd striper skunk in a row (last one was Napa). Tried some new lures and the old go-tos and couldn’t even get any shakers.
On the bright side there is a new Hawaiian plate lunch restaurant next to the parking lot, but I was not in the mood to try it.

Dang Joe, that's a bummer. It's been pretty hot the last couple weeks, must be messing with the bite.

I didn't get any bites with lures or drifting with a bullhead, and I didn't see anyone getting action from the shore / piers. Hope the heat wave breaks soon and the bite picks up.

Great seeing out out there anyway!

No beat down for sure. I met up with Steve and we covered a lot of water for nada during the incoming. Steve took off I decided that 90 degrees was better than 103 at home so I kept going.  Ended up hooking up 3, no keepers. The furbags were out at First street honking and slapping a couple salmon, so jelly!
