On this weeks episode of TLA. We take Thuy (Fishing247) boat out to Moss Landing to chase the red hot Mackerel bite that has surfaced outside the harbor near the canyon. Every year millions of these fish migrate into Monterey Bay chasing the large schools of anchovies and various bait fish. I lay out some best practices when chasing the Mackerel to improve your chances of getting on these fun fighting and tasty fish on this episode of TLA.

FYI: Word on the street is that the Mackerel (Green Back and Spanish have Moved into Capitola and Santa Cruz). This is well in Kayak Fishing Range. Get it!

Do the spanish/horse mackeral taste as good as the Pacific/greenback?
I didn't think they did but it could all be in how I handled them. I don't typically have ice on the yak.

If a seagull poops on you, statistically it was no accident.
