I’m planning to finally get the Revo back on the water very soon. I noticed my front seat adjustment is locked in place, about mid height probably from salt corrosion.  I tried soaking the collar that slides along the bar with WD-40 and it ain’t budging.  Any tips?

Did you try putting the seat on it first and trying to adjust it? I noticed you have to push in something for it to activate.

Glad to hear you are getting back on the water. We made our first couple of ocean voyages together years ago.

You dont forget your first time.  That was like THE perfect day at HMB. Thanks for taking me along.

I’ve decided to just fish lakes and the bay from now on.  Lately, I’ve developed this interest in ultralight fishing.

The  Ocean has warned me not to enter again or bad things will happen.  I’m not being facetious.

I’ve tried and it’s very stuck. When you pull the canvas loop it moves a lever that pushes right against the collar.

I have a EBRPD season pass that covers all my fee’s except for mussel inspection. Fish primarily in the winter most often Shadow Cliffs so I’m sure I’ll see you out there one of these days.

Have you try hot water to dissolve the salt?

I’ve found PB Blaster to be more effective than WD-40 to loosen seized up bolts and what not. It’s always worked well with brass clips for kayak seats and my kelp clip.

Hmm, that I haven’t tried.  I’ll give that a try tomorrow.   The other day I used 30% Acetic Acid Vinegar to clean my corroded Ram mount. Stuff worked great.

Thanks for the suggestion. I checked out the MSDS for PB Blaster vs. WD40 and the ingredients are relatively similar.  I’ll keep this one in mind, though.
