I'm Jason coming from Santa Clara, I have kayaked a few times and once out of HMB harbor with a fishing guide.

Wife and I kayaked with friends who let us borrow an inflatable explorer k2 and we had fun paddling with some otters at the Moss Landing Estuary. We decided to buy one for ourselves so we picked up an excursion pro k2. I like that it has pole holders with it so i can go out fishing on it.

We took it out to Big River Estuary while on vacation in Mendocino and it felt nice and stable, paddling back against the wind was a nice workout though.

Looking to fish with it at some of the east bay lakes and would like to try some very nearshore fishing by Capitola or Monterey (I'm reading that stillwater cove is a nice and protected spot). Need to get a VHF radio before going out in the salt.

Looking forward to joining everyone!

Hi I'm Mike from stockton! I'm pretty new to kayak fishing. I have a lure 13.5. Only mods I've done are a milk crate and a led stern light I built recently to night fish.  Looking to connect with others and learn. My goal is to try fishing in the bay some day! Thanks
