In this episode of TLA, I embark on my first Tesla camping road trip to Gaviota, CA, in search of my spirit fish—the California Halibut. This stretch of the Central Coast is famous for its large California halibut, white sea bass, and the occasional great white shark—YIKES! I take an overnight trip along Highway 101, exploring various rest stops and destination chargers before diving into a challenging two-day fishing adventure, determined to catch my champion halibut—45 inches or bust! Along the way, I also discover the campgrounds and explore this stunning coastline of California for the first time. Join me for this fun-filled journey on this episode of TLA!

Consider adding other interesting fishing and campi ng spots to your route, such as state or national parks. Remember to bring snorkeling gear to explore the underwater world during breaks from fishing. Check _local regulations and make sure you have the right equipment :smt002

I’ve driven that stretch before, and the coastline is absolutely stunning. The campgrounds are a real treat too, especially if you find one with a view of the ocean.

I haven’t done a Tesla camping trip myself, but I’ve rented for road trips in the past and love the flexibility of being able to stop wherever you want. If you’re ever in South Florida and looking for a unique rental experience, https://realcar.miami/locations/miami-beach has some great options for luxury road trips.

I camped there once, but didn't have a kayak so just a little surf casting.

All I remember is that the offshore wind was howling thru there all night!
I don't like stuff that sucks.
