Got Squid RPT - Monterey - 6/19/2024 Wed. - Squid Hunting

I will be chasing the squid again tomorrow with several friends.  Other people are welcome to join. 
Plan to arrive at the Coast Guard Pier around 7 a.m.

Took a drive in PG today.  Found a dozen of squid boats by Asiloma about a mile out.  Hopefully they move closer to the red can tomorrow.

Will be there on Sat. Can't make it there tomorrow. Hope you guys have a lot of fun,.

Launched before 8 AM, headed to the Red can but could not locate any squids.  One of my friends, Tony, called on the radio and informed me that a squid boat was dropping a net in front of the hotel.  We had a brief meeting and decided to relocate to that location.  I have caught squid from there previously.  We arrived and started searching, but there was not much there, and the current kept pushing us toward the shore.  I decided to head to around a 90-foot spot near the anchored commercial boat named Lost Boys.  Finally locate them and able to catch 100+ squids.  My fishing buddy, Max, decided to take them live.

Way to go find them.  I'd love to fish for them someday.
