I have not fulfilled my wife's order of squid after three trips.
This time, I will only pursue squids. To avoid temptation, I won't take any halibut or rockfish gear.
Plan to arrive around 7 AM at the Coast Guard Pier.  Other members are welcome to join.

I don't think squids are avoiding me this season.  I even had a local expert, Sonny, and got no squid. 
I might try Santa Cruz in a couple of days, but not expecting much.

Sunday evening one commercial boat got a decent haul at PG. Monday evening that number dropped significantly. Lots of sardines in the mix. Boats mainly targeting anchovy now. Couple dozen tons a day. But the squid school is forming. Hopefully, it will be a wide open soon. Still some squid at SC, but better volume still at Monterey.
