Selling a Harken hoister 7806.12. New in opened box. Bought it to hang an AI from the garage ceiling but unfortunately don’t have enough clearance between ceiling and garage door. This model can hoist a maximum of 200lb. Originally purchased for $220. NCKA price $150. Pick up in sf

I had the same issue when we bought a new garage door. I just lowered the front cradle so the front of the kayak tilts down and just fits under the panels. Still have plenty of height to walk under, and for the car.

I adjusted mine too. But for ceiling length; not for height. I wonder why you don’t have clearance. My Revo 16 can be lifted to the point of touching the ceiling.. but we have 9ft tall walls so maybe that’s why?

That’s a nice setup. I’m unable to do that in my garage unfortunately due to needing to get to nearby shelf storage. Big kayak small garage problems.

Actually in my case it’s not the space between the ceiling and the garage door that’s an issue. It’s the space between the garage door and the horizontal wood beams that the garage door track hangers are mounted to. When the garage door is open there is only about 10 inches between the door and wood beams.
