When we go to the gym or do activities that makes sweat and get our clothes dirty, most people typically put their clothes in the wash.
When we go fishing we can sweat and get our clothing stained and slimy, especially outerwear.

Curious,  How often do you wash you outerwear?  (Jackets, pants, drysuit, bibs, wetsuit, etc)

We throw wetsuits, booties, and outerwear into a cold "rinse and spin" cycle on the washing machine after every saltwater trip. Takes about 12 mins, then hang dry. Works like a charm and keeps things fresh. I don't think we've ever used detergent except for on gloves and booties. Everything else has no issues with odor or performance.

Hose my wetsuit every time. Pop it in the washing machine, front loader, with some wetsuit soap when it starts to get smelly. Probably every 4-6 trips.

We're gonna need a bigger boat!

Wetsuit - hose off salt and fish gunk every trip. Use wetsuit wash/conditioner several times per year.

Same, but on occasion I rinse out the inside too.

I just put a jacket and bib in the washer after several months of use.  Used Nikwax instead of soap.

Stains and smell were getting too much.

Wash? Never thought of that. Maybe that's why I always seem to fish alone...

Haha a true fisherman.  What bothers me the most is the pee drips that gets left inside. It kinda builds up.

It's not recommended but I wash my fishing clothes which includes wetsuit, undershirt, mid layer, windbreaker jacket in the washer with soap on sanitary cycle after each trip and I rinse off and hang dry my waterproof paddling jacket and booties.

how I imagine the average response here - "it puts the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose"
