Thanks for the update and link to the presentation Paul.

That’s plenty of rockfish season for kayakers.  May-September & November.  Thats 6 months plus 3 months to go on a boat and fish the deep reefs.

Regarding vermilions. The damned check engine light is flashing for this species and the council is leaning toward doing almost the same thing when red flags got raised for quillback in 2021. Result will be anglers high grading reds which by the way have a much harder time descending than quillbacks.

PFMC just adopted the GAP proposal.  The next step is for FGC to adapt on March 26, 2024.

In addition, during the meeting, the PFMC acknowledged the contribution of the Non-Motorized Vessel Workgroup (Kayak Anglers).
