Sam and I are going to look for herring in the kayaks tomorrow morning. Wind and tide look pretty good.

Camo outback and yellow outback probably throwing tacos and spitballs. If it’s a pancake it’s probably not us  :smt044

Also bringing sabikis. I’ll bring some extra gear if anyone wants to try it out.

Dunphy park around 730 am. Going to wander around looking for birds and such. Probably make our way toward spinnaker or maybe over toward Belvedere. Radio 69.

Good luck today!  Interested in your report - hoping that I can line one of my days off with some herring activity.

Hi all,
Good luck and will be watching for you report.... went yesterday and in 3 hours of throwing  around dunphy anchorage and to belvedere and spinaker (my arm is sore) one 3" herring.... lots of eggs on the eel grass though.

If you find them I will be out again soon.

Right, serious work!

So how did it taste?
I mean If I only caught one tiny herring for sure I'm frying it up for a crispy treat!

Well, yesterday was the same for me  :smt044

Spent a few hours working the area and got a total of 1 herring. Talked to some boaters who were also trying and didn’t have any.

Don't know why but read the thread title as 1/4 (to a limit) and got excited. Also do sea lions go after cast nets?

Only if you're getting herring in them.
