Near catastrophe caught on dash camera. Pickle and I almost bought it.

This was Wednesday morning.  Still a pretty rattled.  Pickle was in the blue car right behind me.  Super unsure how I’m still alive right now.  Ditto on how he missed Pickle after missing me.

Holy cow, that was way too close for comfort!

Many, many, many years ago, I was driving my tiny Datsun pickup across northern Iowa on a narrow 2-lane highway. It was winter with light snow and/or freezing rain coming down. Of course, I was going way faster than conditions dictated when I met an 18-wheeler. The force of the air currents from that truck caused me to spin out of control for what seemed like forever. If there had been a vehicle coming from the other direction, there is no way it could have missed me. Also, both sides of the road had steep embankments, so if I'd slid off the road, it would have been curtains too. Luckily, my car stayed on the road, and no cars were coming in the other lane. I still shudder when I think about that...
