I was working in Shelter Cove today and talked to a guy at the store. The conversation went from mushroom foraging to fishing and he showed me a video of him plucking a 170 pound bluefin four miles West by 3 miles North out of the cove. He said dudes are catching 150-200 class fish regularly from Fort Bragg to the cove. They're on the cooler side in close and just out there crashing bait apparently. Anybody crazy enough to target this from a kayak?

That was Ryan G.

He's a member on here too, and played DOTY with us back in 2016/2017 as well.

First speared NorCal BFT...stoked for him!

Nothing for us this weekend. Nice boat ride though!

Been a great season. 5 fish landed for 5 trips, lost an additional 1 at the boat, and had 2 short hits.
