Hello everyone. I am new here, don't have a kayak yet but plan on hopefully buying one soon, probably a new passport 12. I fish the bodega/tomales bay area. I have done lots of shark, ray, and rockfish fishing from shore, and fishing from a SUP in freshwater. Eager to meet everyone here!

Also another question I am assuming tomales bay would be a much safer place to learn to kayak rather than bodega bay, just wondering if this is true.

Welcome to NCKA  :smt006
I wouldn't say T-bay is safer because of the strong currents at times.
I made this video after hearing a lot of kayakers getting rescued this year in the bay and it also applies to T-bay.
